Membership Terms

Plinker  ·  Last updated: 26 August 2026

These are the terms of your Plinker membership. They are written to be read rather than skipped. If anything here is unclear, write to us and we will explain it.

1. Who we are

Plinker is operated by Plinker Limited, a private company limited by shares registered in Ireland, company number 823045, VAT IE04805969DH, registered office FF Fintech Pro, Engineering House, Unit 79, Block 5, Western Parkway Business Park, Dublin 12, D12 NRY2, Ireland. You can reach us at support@plinker.app or +353 83 445 8428.

These terms are an agreement between you and Plinker Limited. By joining Plinker you accept them.

2. What Plinker is, and what we promise

Plinker is an invitation-only introductions service for senior professionals, to promote learning, support growth and open doors. We introduce you to one other member at a time, chosen by a person, with a written note explaining why the two of you.

What we promise: that a human considers every introduction before it is sent; that your identity is withheld from the other member until you have both opted in; and that we will hold an introduction rather than send you a weak one.

What we do not promise: a particular number of introductions, a particular kind of person, or a particular outcome from meeting them. Introductions depend on who else is a member at the time, and we would rather pause than manufacture one.

3. Joining

You must be 18 or older. Membership is by invitation and subject to our approval, and we may decline an application without giving reasons. You agree that the information you give us, your career history in particular, is accurate and yours.

Your account is personal to you. Do not share access to it, and do not let someone else use Plinker as if they were you.

4. How introductions work

When we propose an introduction, each of you sees a professional profile of the other, covering role, career path, education and general location, but without names or photographs. You each decide independently. Only if you both say yes are your identities revealed to one another and the introduction made.

You can decline any introduction, at any time, without giving a reason. Declining does not count against you.

What you write about your own goals is used to choose your matches, and is never shown to another member in your words.

5. How we expect members to behave

Plinker works because senior people trust it with something real. That trust is the product, so the conduct rules are short and we mean them.

  • Treat other members as you would a respected colleague you had just been introduced to by someone whose judgement you value.
  • What you learn about another member stays between you. Do not republish, screenshot, forward or scrape another member's profile, photograph, career history or messages, and do not add them to a list, a database or a mailing.
  • Plinker is not a sales channel. Do not use an introduction to pitch, recruit under false pretences, solicit investment, or market a product or service unless the other person has invited it.
  • Plinker is not a dating service. Introductions are professional. Romantic or sexual approaches are not welcome here.
  • Be honest about who you are: your identity, your role and your history.
  • Nothing unlawful, abusive, harassing, discriminatory, threatening or deceptive, and nothing that infringes someone else's rights.

These rules apply to what you write inside Plinker, and to how you behave in an introduction that Plinker made, including after you have moved the conversation elsewhere.

6. Reporting, and what we do about it

You can report or block another member from any screen where you can see them. You can also write to support@plinker.app about anything you have seen here, or in an introduction we made.

When you report something:

  • We acknowledge that we have received it.
  • A person reviews it. We do not decide these by machine.
  • We tell you what we decided and, in general terms, why.

Where we restrict, suspend or remove a member's account, or remove something they have written, we tell that member what we have done and the reasons for it, and we give them a way to respond. If you think we have got a decision about you wrong, reply to us and a person will look at it again.

We may act without a report if we become aware of a serious problem ourselves, and we may remove content or an account immediately where there is a risk to someone's safety, or a legal obligation to do so.

7. What membership costs

Free while you're in early access, and we'll always tell you before that changes. There are no purchases of any kind inside the app.

If we ever introduce a fee, we will tell you clearly and in advance, and we will ask you to agree to it first. Nobody is charged unless they say yes.

8. Your privacy

How we handle your information, including your CV, your goals and your introductions, is set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

9. Leaving

You can leave at any time. Profile → Settings → Delete account in the app closes your account and erases your Plinker data. You can also write to privacy@plinker.app and we will do it for you, and confirm.

We may end a membership where these terms are broken, where a member's conduct puts others at risk, or where we can no longer offer the service. Except where the conduct is serious, we will tell you first and explain why.

10. What we are and are not responsible for

Plinker introduces people. We do not employ, vet exhaustively, endorse or supervise our members, and we are not party to what you agree, discuss or do with someone we introduce you to. Use the same judgement you would with any professional introduction.

We take care to keep Plinker running and accurate, but we do not promise the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes any right you have that cannot be limited or excluded under Irish or EU law, including your rights as a consumer, or our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

11. Changes to these terms

We will update these terms as Plinker develops and post the new version here, with the date at the top. Where a change materially affects you we will tell you directly rather than relying on you noticing, and you will have the chance to leave if you do not accept it.

12. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, and the Irish courts have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory rules of the country in which you live.

Questions about these terms: support@plinker.app. Questions about your data: privacy@plinker.app.
