Delete your Plinker account

Plinker  ·  Last updated: 16 September 2026

You can delete your Plinker account and its data at any time. There are two ways to do it, one inside the app and one that works even if you have already uninstalled it.

1. Which app this is

This page is for Plinker, published by Plinker Limited, a company registered in Ireland (company number 823045).

2. If you still have the app

Profile → Settings → Delete account

  1. Open Plinker and go to the Profile tab.
  2. Open Settings.
  3. Choose Delete account and confirm.

This is immediate and it cannot be undone. Nothing holds it up, and you do not need anyone's permission.

3. If you have already uninstalled the app

You do not need to reinstall Plinker to delete your account. Email privacy@plinker.app from the address you signed up with and ask us to delete your account. We will action it and confirm to you when it is done, and in any case within 30 days.

Please write from the address you joined with. It is how we know the request is really yours, and deleting an account cannot be undone. If you no longer have access to that address, write to us anyway and we will find another way to confirm it is you before we delete anything.

4. What is deleted, and what is kept

When you delete your account we remove:

  • your profile, your headline, your proof points and everything you wrote about yourself;
  • your photograph;
  • your career history, your education and your trajectory;
  • if you asked us to draft one, the description of how you work: your personality traits, your top strengths and your working-style reading;
  • your destination and your private note about what you are really after this season;
  • your introductions, and the messages you exchanged with your concierge.

Your CV was never stored, so there is nothing to remove. It is read once to draft your roles and, if you chose it, your description of how you work, and then discarded. We never hold a copy of the file.

An introduction is one shared record rather than two, so deleting your account also removes it from the other member's history, along with anything they noted about your meeting.

If you have had a private conversation with another member, that conversation is deleted as well, for both of you. It is one conversation rather than two copies, so it cannot survive for one person and not the other. If that matters to you, keep your own copy before you go.

One other thing can outlive your account, and we would rather set it out here than have you find it somewhere else. If a report has been made, by you or about you, the report itself and a bounded copy of the conversation it concerns are kept after your account is gone. The copy of the conversation goes within twelve months of the report being settled, and never later than two years after it was taken. The report itself, which holds no messages, is kept for up to two years after it is settled.

Your account and your name go. What is left of you in it is a coded reference rather than your name, so that a pattern of reports is not lost if somebody leaves and rejoins. Only a member of staff looking into that report can read it, only with a reason, and every reading is recorded.

A report that vanished the moment one side left would protect nobody, least of all the person who made it. Section 6 of our Privacy Policy sets out the same thing in full.

The only other things we keep are records we are required to keep by law, for example tax or accounting records. They are kept only for the period the law requires, and are used for nothing else.

5. How long it takes

Inside the app. Immediate, and it cannot be undone.

By email. We action it and confirm to you, and in any case within 30 days. In practice it is usually much sooner. Thirty days is the outer limit the law allows us, not a target we aim at.

6. Questions

Privacy questions, including anything about deleting your data, go to privacy@plinker.app. Anything else, support@plinker.app.
